A small janitor sweeps a black spill beneath a cracked red sun. The sentence reads: “Karma has no customer service.”
001 — The Cosmic Janitor. From Clean Your Karma.100 images. One small ritual.

Clean Your Karma begins with a dark surface and a simple instruction: rub. Move a finger across the screen, or drag a mouse, and the darkness gives way. An image appears in fragments. A sentence waits inside it. You can stop halfway, leave a corner untouched, or keep going until there is almost nothing left to remove.

There are one hundred images in the installation. Each pairs an improbable scene with a sentence that may sound reassuring until you read it again. A janitor works beneath a leaking sun. An ordinary gesture meets a problem of unreasonable proportions. The screen becomes clearer; your position in the universe remains unconfirmed.

This is a work about the appeal of a clean slate, and the suspicious ease of finding one on a screen. Nothing is confessed, scored, or forgiven. You make a mark by taking something away. Then you can begin again.
